Cowhide
9½" Shaft
1¼" Heel

The No. 6 combines classic roper features with the Chisos signature comfort insole and heritage leathers to create what might be the most comfortable boot you'll ever own. And in celebration of our namesake, cording and subtle embroidery combine to form the silhouette of the Chisos Mountains around the crown.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos provides free shipping on exchanges within the contiguous United States within 90 days of purchase. Product costs are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

For all returns, items must be in like-new condition without scratches nor scuffs. We recommend trying on your boots on carpet to ensure proper fit.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

Form, Meet Function

Calf ropers of the early 20th century weren't too satisfied with the tall heels of cowboy-style boots. They wanted something they could run in. And so the roper was born.

With a shorter heel, shorter shaft, and subdued silhouette, the roper is the cowboy boot's quieter cousin. Still built Chisos tough, the flatter footing of the roper is arguably a harder worker.

Personally, we rotate between 'em both.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.

My new favorite boots.

This is my first pair of Ropers, and I love them. They were comfortable the first time I put them on and they have just gotten better. Great boot. Great company.

Best Roper Ever

I received the ropers the day before I left traveling across the country, decided to wear as my primary footwear, was not disappointed, best fitting boot ever right out of the box, ran from one side of DFW to the other to catch a flight, beat my younger travel guys to the gate, ha,, really nice boot, plan to buy another Chisos style soon. Tevos are marginal at best compared to these, great boot - team.

Great Boots!

Very happy - true to size. Short break in. Would highly recommend the No 6 or the No 2. Both comfortable and very well made. Chisos is outpacing their competition!

Great looks, questionable quality.

My boots look great, no question.
I’ve only worn my boots perhaps for 2-full weeks but they've broken-in and feel much less tight in the width than my first couple of wears. I normally wear a 10.5D in Tecovas but sized up to an 11D for my Chisos (my Tecovas felt a little tight around my toes and were uncomfortable to wear for long stretches). Unfortunately, my right boot squeaks and has more give in the insole than my left boot—it feels like my right foot sinks with each step. This is pretty disappointing especially given the price paid and the quality of materials being, otherwise, superb. There isn’t a sharper looking pair of boots but I cannot stand the sensation of my right foot sinking with each step followed by the aggravating squeak.

Great Boots

Great looking boot. Haven't worn boots in over 50 years, took about 2 weeks to break in so can wear them all day. Very comfortable boot to wear.

Damn comfortable

This is my first, but not my last purchase from Chisos. With full transparency, I did have a quality control issue with the first pair of No. 6 roughouts that I was sent, but I chalked that up to Christmas rush and closing down for the holiday. With an assist from Will, the return went through and I got my new boots today. (I do wish they came earlier, but they were worth the wait). They are comfortable, have a great fit and look awesome. Looking forward to my next pair. Also, shout out to Avery for all his help on the initial purchase.

Best of all "WOW!"

I have 2 Ariat for mud, 4 Lucchese for dress and 1 Chisos for everyday and can't make myself take them off. The Chisos are absolutely top notch for everything I do. Yes, mud, dress and everyday. Guess I had better order another pair so I can clean these up and give them a rest.

Alberta Bound!

I'm from Turner Valley, AB and know what good boots are all about. I followed the fitting guide and went with a 1/2 size smaller than normal footwear. Definitely correct in length but width too tight. I shopped around and swapped out the extra thick Chisos insole and voila! Certainly the ultra soft footed isn't there but the boots fit and look great. The team was very responsive returning emails the same day, even thru the Christmas holiday season. They were more than willing to swap them out for a larger size but I opted to keep them and work on stretching them a bit to fit. Very happy with my boots!!! Thanks Chisos from Alberta where cowboys are cowboys.
