What happens at a boot fitting?
Here's how a typical evening runs. We'll set the timing with you, so it fits between your meeting and dinner.
Arrive and settle in
Grab a drink, look around the shop and get the group together.
A short introduction
Our team tells you a little about Chisos, how our boots are made and how a good fit should feel.
Fittings
Guests try on styles and sizes with our team to find the right fit. Groups over 15 get fitted in rotations while everyone else hangs out in the backyard.
Branding and time together
Add initials or a small design to your boots, then stay a while.
Daytime works too with enough notice. Tell us your start and end times and we'll build the schedule around them.
The boots
Choose your boots and make them your own
Guests choose from select styles and get fitted in person by our team. Chisos boots are fitted to each guest on-site, not made-to-order, so you may curate the selection to your price point.

Boot branding
Guests can add their initials or choose from a selection of small designs. Standard branding is included and happens the night of the event. Want your company logo? Send us the artwork and your date and we'll quote it separately.

Wear them out or have them shipped
Guests can walk out with any pair we have in their size that night. Or we're happy to ship 'em home! Shipping is included at no extra cost within the lower 48 states.

A family-run boot shop in South Austin
Chisos HQ is a house on South 1st Street with our shop inside and a big shaded backyard out back. Inside comfortably fits 20 to 30 people at a time, depending on how we arrange it. The backyard holds 100, and we can host up to 250 by adding the parking lot.

Food and drinks
Bottled water, sparkling water, beer and hard seltzer are included. Want food or more to drink? Bring your own caterer or ask us to help coordinate it, and we'll help you set up. There's no kitchen on site, so plan on food that arrives ready to serve.

Request a dateHow much does a group boot fitting cost?
There's no charge for renting the space for an event starting after 5 p.m. Your cost is the boots, with a minimum of 10 pairs purchased. Discount depends on quantity and the styles you choose. Tell us about your event and we'll send a quote.
Is the minimum based on guests or pairs of boots?
Pairs. Events at HQ need at least 10 pairs purchased, whether your group is 2 people or 30. Not every guest has to buy boots.
How long should we plan for?
About two hours for most groups. We'll set the schedule with you and any other events you have planned.
How many people can Chisos HQ hold?
Inside comfortably fits 20 to 30 at a time. The backyard holds 100, and up to 250 with the parking lot. For groups over 15, we fit guests in rotations while the rest of the group hangs out in the backyard.
Can Chisos come to our hotel or event?
Yes, by custom plan. Send us your venue, date and group size and we'll tell you what's possible.
What food and drinks are included?
Bottled water, sparkling water, beer and hard seltzer. You're welcome to bring a caterer or ask us to help coordinate food and other beverages. There's a fridge and sink on site, but no kitchen appliances.
What deposit do you require, and what if we cancel?
A 20% deposit confirms your event and the balance is due when the event wraps up. The deposit is fully refundable up to 20 days before your event. After that, it's nonrefundable.
Can we change our headcount?
Yes. You can adjust your headcount up to five days before the event. We're very flexible.
Can we book a daytime event or have the place to ourselves?
Yes, with enough notice. Daytime events and exclusive use are quoted separately.
What if someone needs help with their boots after the event?
Your guests can email howdy@chisos.com or call or text 512-866-7222 and we'll handle exchanges or any questions! Keep in mind that branded or scuffed boots cannot be exchanged.
