Cowhide
9½" Shaft
1¼" Heel

The No. 6 combines classic roper features with the Chisos signature comfort insole and heritage leathers to create what might be the most comfortable boot you'll ever own. And in celebration of our namesake, cording and subtle embroidery combine to form the silhouette of the Chisos Mountains around the crown.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos provides free shipping on exchanges within the contiguous United States within 90 days of purchase. Product costs are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

For all returns, items must be in like-new condition without scratches nor scuffs. We recommend trying on your boots on carpet to ensure proper fit.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

So far so good! #6

Will preface this with the fact I’m new to western style boots . I was looking at the PNW boot makers originally but my brother swears by his cowboy boots so I figured to try something new. I have a history of plantar issues from my running days so the boot/insole design of Chisos seemed like a good place to dip my toes. My brannock is 11.5 D spot on with my left foot slightly bigger. Purchased 11.5 D , my right boot fits perfectly, the left is actually slightly looser around the ankle, so I feel slightly more heel slip but don’t really notice when I’m walking. I tried throwing in a thin insole but it became way too tight and I realized my fit is already pretty good so I’m just going to wear em and see how they break in. Overall great craftsmanship and look forward to wearing the hell out of them. It’s a very beautiful boot with a nice minimalist look of them. I really like the look of the brown and the variation in color. I once visited Guanajuato when I lived in Mexico in the 90s so I thought that was pretty cool to know this was made in the same town. Hopefully the Chisos team got to check out the Museo de Las Momias!

Never going back!

These boots are absolutely fantastic! I’ve tried on every boot brand sold at the western stores around Houston and nothing comes close to the comfort and quality of Chisos. My experience at the store in Austin was equally as great and well worth the drive! To put it simply, I will never waste my time or money on other brands from here on out. The number of compliments I’ve gotten on these boots is crazy…I’ll be buying the number 2s next time I’m in Austin! No doubt you guys are gonna change the game in the boot world…keep up the great work! Chisos all the way!

First western boots

An Englishman buying his first western boots... the leather is beautiful, the fit is like a glove. My first day wearing them was 16,000 steps. No issues, no need to wear in. These replaced my Chelsea boots of 20 years that had finally collapsed... the compliments I got for these Chiso boots were great too. Couldn't recommend enough.

Love these boots!

I usually wear work boots. I got the #6 brushed brown as my first pair of cowboy boots and from the second I saw them in the box I knew I was hooked. I put them on and felt like a different man. They fit true to my brannock size and feel great. I can’t stop looking at them when I’ve got them on. I’m already eying the #1s. Love these boots love the company!

Boss Boots

I’m a big boot guy and own several pairs of Redwings. These are my first pair of cowboy boots. I instantly loved them right out of the box. Didn’t take long to break them in and they are already my favorite boot in my collection. 10/10 would recommend if you want to walk around all day feeling like a boss.

Great boots!

Tried a few boot makers. These Chisos no.6 ropers are quite possibly the most comfortable boots I’ve ever put on. Instantly comfortable. My brannock is in between 11.5 and 12 D, and my foot is relatively low volume with a lowish instep. I ordered 11.5 and they are great

Love at first fit!

Thought long and hard about spending $595 on a pair of pretty basic looking black roper boots that one can't even try on before buying. Significant chunk-o-change for boots meant to be worn and worked just about every day; not just worn by a misguided politician trying too hard to look like 'Average Joe' while attending inauguration balls or filming soundbites while hunting with his personal firearm he doesn't know how to use. Immediately upon opening the subtle, classy packaging, you are immediately impressed by the look of these quality boots. Not ostentatious, Corafam-polished, everyone-look-at-me-boot scoot and line dance boots, rather, boots that emulate the spirit of a Clydesdale; Strong, elegant (in a manly way), and yearning to work. Slipping them on was close to a spiritual experience -- an easy pull, a slight thump at the heel and a perfect fit. Just to be sure they were keepers, wore them around the house whittling away at my 'Honey-do' list. By lunchtime 4-hours later, I'd reached foot-boot Zen. We (my Chisos #6 and me) worked the rest of the afternoon outdoors and didn't even take them off for supper. No break-in period required, these boots are keepers! Thanks Chisos!

Superb Service and Quality Product

Recent visit to Austin where I met the Chisos team. Friendly staff made picking the right size a breeze . The boots were shipped home free of charge. Minimal break in period. Kudos to Chisos! Already thinking about my next pair

Great boot and customer service!

This company is the real deal. Super nice and helpful on the phone. Beautiful product and very comfortable. The type of company you'd want to support and see do well. Sizing: 10.5 in vans, 10 in redwings, 10.5-11 in Nikes. 10.5EE in Tecovas. 11 in the Chisos Roper was perfect for my slightly wider feet.

Form, Meet Function

Calf ropers of the early 20th century weren't too satisfied with the tall heels of cowboy-style boots. They wanted something they could run in. And so the roper was born.

With a shorter heel, shorter shaft, and subdued silhouette, the roper is the cowboy boot's quieter cousin. Still built Chisos tough, the flatter footing of the roper is arguably a harder worker.

Personally, we rotate between 'em both.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
