The No. 6 combines classic roper features with the Chisos signature comfort insole and heritage leathers to create what might be the most comfortable boot you'll ever own. And in celebration of our namesake, cording and subtle embroidery combine to form the silhouette of the Chisos Mountains around the crown.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos offers full refunds on like-new items within 90 days of purchase. We also provide free exchanges within the contiguous United States.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

Form, Meet Function

Calf ropers of the early 20th century weren't too satisfied with the tall heels of cowboy-style boots. They wanted something they could run in. And so the roper was born.

With a shorter heel, shorter shaft, and subdued silhouette, the roper is the cowboy boot's quieter cousin. Still built Chisos tough, the flatter footing of the roper is arguably a harder worker.

Personally, we rotate between 'em both.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.

Be careful where you treadq

Have some Luccheses, have some Tecovas. They wear pretty well. They are pretty comfortable. They look pretty good. Then you pick up a pair of Chisos. And suddenly pretty good isn’t good enough. So if you just want pretty good, don’t go near the Chisos.

Best Boot I Have Ever Owned!

I’ve owned several pairs of boots and these are on a different level. You can see and feel the quality. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Worth every penny. I will hopefully be purchasing the No.2s soon.

Regret not trying to find a boot in a B width. But a great boot

Search is over. This boot is the one.

I've looked for about 6 months for a plain black roper now. I've bought(and returned) or tried on every leading name brand and was consistently dissatisfied with fit and feel. Enter Chisos. I'm very impressed with the quality and all day comfort(12 hour shifts at work). We'll see how they stand the test of hard abuse and time but I'd imagine they'll hold up great.

My only small complaint is the heel is a little high for a traditional roper but I'll just reduce the heel when I have to take them in to the cobbler.

Great boot guys keep up the quality.

Awesome boot, but with modification for me!

This is an excellent quality boot. Could not find a single defect on the craftsmanship of these boots.

That being said I had to modify it to fit my foot. With the insole they come with my foot had way too much pressure over the vamp and in step. It simply was just too thick for me personally, absolutely nothing to do with the boot!

Solution: I ordered myself a leather strip of 7/8 leather to make my own insoles. Once I did that, these boots fit me perfectly!

I gave it 4 stars instead of five for the insole issue, but I would still recommend this boot to most anyone.

Fit, Fit, Comfort

I don’t have much experience with cowboy boots, BUT my two (so far) Chisos boots fit perfectly, right out of the box. I simply ordered my usual shoe size. Will is just terrific, Chisos customer service is amazing.
