11" Shaft

The No. 5 pays tribute to the Texas Longhorn and those great herds that defined the old west. Horns that reach the entire width of the boot dominate the embroidery. Both our magic black and roughout leathers provide full grain strength to back up the loud snip toe.

The tan version ain't suede—our roughout is made by turning a full grain hide inside-out. It's our strongest and most comfortable cowhide leather.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos offers full refunds on like-new items within 90 days of purchase. We also provide free exchanges within the contiguous United States.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on a vehicle. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

Current favorite pair of boots!

I have all kinds of boots and these are my current favorites. Chisos are my most comfortable cowboy boots. My No. 5 are great in the field and out on the town.

Amazing boots!

I've fallen in love with Chisos, the roughout number 5's get compliments everywhere I go, it's pretty impressive. A must have!

What a boot

I'm up to 11 different cowboy/ western boots, from modern to heritage brands. And I seem to reach for my Chisos more then the others. The #5 is refreshingly different from traditional leathers. With out the stress of scuffing up a shine on your boots, these will always look great. From work to Church they are extremely versatile.

It took me about 5 days of at least 8hrs in them to fully break in the sole/cork to my foot. The only place that was slightly uncomfortable during the break in period was the tips/ bottom of my toes. Other than that this boot is a 10/10.

I like to pair them with brown or neutral tones, like these "dark chocolate" Wranglers.

Damn Comfortable!!!

When I first saw the price I was skeptical, but after doing some research and watching “The Chief Texan” himself Will Roman (The owner of Chisos boots.) cut open some of his own boots. I thought if he’s willing to show how they are made and how “Thou shall not cut corners”, They must be worth it. And to my amazement they totally are. They look, fit and feel amazing. On that note. Do right, love Texas and buy these beautiful boots already.

Bubbles in my beer

My idea of a perfect day is wearing dirty Chisos rough-outs while watching a Texas sunset with an old dog, older truck and Bob Wills singing “bubbles in my beer”.

Best darn boots

Hello from Seoul, Korea! I ordered the no. 5s and they fit like a glove straight from the box. The quality and craftmanship is second to none. The cushioning makes them feel more comfortable than any running shoes. I suggest ordering a half size smaller.

Love these boots!

A friend introduced me to Chisos when I visited Austin, and I picked up a pair of No. 2s. Bought the No. 5s a short while later and just love them. They fit even better than the No. 2s, are comfy, and look so sharp. Love the snip toe.
I wear the No. 2s around the ranch and the No. 5s out on the town. Chisos are my new favorite shoes!

I had an old pair of suede boots several years ago that looked great and I really liked. I thought it was time to consider a new pair so I started looking online. To my surprise there were not as many options available as I would have thought. I stumbled on to the Chisos website and was immediately drawn to the classic style. I also like the idea of the rough out process they use to make the boots. read several

If only 10 stars were an option 🤠

What can I say other than WOW, OMG, and DAMN Comfortable!!! Fit like gloves for my feet. Honestly though, these are all day and into the evening pure comfort! I own many of the other brands and Chiso’s are top shelf 🤠

Likely the best boots I’ll ever own

These things are great! Comfortable, well crafted, great looking. What more can you ask for? I’ve been looking for a snip toe rough out boot a long while, it was most definitely worth the wait and search. Had I found it sooner I wouldn’t be as happy.
