9½" Shaft

The No. 6 combines classic roper features with the Chisos signature comfort insole and heritage leathers to create what might be the most comfortable boot you'll ever own. And in celebration of our namesake, cording and subtle embroidery combine to form the silhouette of the Chisos Mountains around the crown.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

We offer refunds on like-new items within 90 days of purchase. You have up to one year to return unused items for store credit. We also provide free exchanges on all orders within the contiguous United States.

The leather soles are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on a vehicle. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and walking style. Give them a break every other day to allow the leather to breathe. Avoid exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

To extend the life of the leather soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. The uppers of your Chisos boots will last decades if you take care of them. Condition the leather about once every three months. These steps will ensure your boots are ready to hand down to the next generation.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

For men, generally boots will match the same size you wear in dress shoes. For ladies, a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

Exchanges are free in case you want to try a different size.

Rough and Tough

They are most certainly nice boots. But as far as comfort goes, my left boot feels great and snug, the right boot on the other hand feels tighter. And can get a little bit unbearable to wear. Hopefully it will break in.

My favorite footwear

Classic leather boots. These fit well, look great whether or not they’re scuffed, and feel great on the feet.

Also want to mention that the customer service I got while swapping for a better size was amazing. Not the best customer service I’ve gotten with boots, but with pretty much anything. They’ve got great quality and have earned repeat business.

Before I bought a pair of the No. 6, I read the reviews of folks comparing Chisos to Lucchese boots. As someone who owns over 10 pairs of Lucchese and many other pairs of other brands and even custom made boots, there is no comparison. The Chisos is far superior in feel and quality. The leather is rich and soft and there is no questioning that the quality of the construction is better. The cool thing is that each time I wear them (and I have worn them every day since I purchased them 2 weeks ago), it seems like they get more comfortable. The only problem I have now is trying to determine which Chisos pair I will purchase next.

First pair of roughouts

As I write this review I am wearing my Chisos no. 2's. Not sure which boot I like more but I can tell you one thing, they are both very comfortable. I probably get more comments on the roughouts but they are both great.

Next level boots! You won’t regret it

If you’re on the fence, just do it. As in almost every review you’ll read on here these are next level boots in terms of comfort and durability. This was my first pair of Chisos (#6 Roughouts). The shaft is a little narrow at first but breaks in nicely with consistent wear for the first couple of weeks. The insoles are ridiculously comfortable. My 2nd pair was the #2’s in brushed brown. Same thing…. Fantastic comfort and fit (the 6’s are a little tighter at first and requires some additional wear to break in). That said, I returned my 2’s for the 1’s to try as I’m more of a fan of the round toe look. Patiently waiting on those to be shipped. Great products.

My favorite boot

I have several pairs of boots, but these are my favorite. The leather is so tough it took a good week to break them in properly, but now they fit perfectly. The condor of this boot are hard to beat, and you would be hard pressed to find a higher quality boot.
Love mine!

The Boots Speak for Themselves

I have tried several boots from the big players in Western wear, yet nothing comes close to the quality and comfort of Chisos Boots. This is my second pair of Chisos, and I feel the No. is the perfect fit when combined with the Chisos insole. I have worn these boots everywhere: on day long outings, to several concerts and dance halls, on mile long hikes across rocky terrain, and they have stood up to it all. Aside from the boot itself, the Chisos customer experience is second to none. In the showroom, Kris and Allison were patient and helpful in providing care and attention, while finding me the right size and model. I cannot say enough good things about this company, but the boots speak for themselves; the aromatic smell of the leather, the Texas stamped heel cap, the quality of the hide. That is all it takes for friends and folks to ask about these boots. There is truly something different about Chisos. Do yourself a favor and get a pair!

I can dance again

I bought my husband Chisos roper style boots . He has high arches and had a lot of pain even in his Lucchese’s. This kinda stopped our dancing days for a bit. I did some research and saw more than a few reviews about how comfortable Chiso’s were, so Took a chance on them and true to the reviews we are able to dance again. Thank you Chiso’s for bringing back some much missed joy in our lives.
