Chisos No. 7 Zipper Boot

Toughest Zipper Boot Ever

When we set out to make a zipper boot, we knew one thing—it had to be built the Chisos way. That meant no shortcuts, no gimmicks, and no slapping a zipper on an existing boot. The No. 7 is a completely new design from the ground up, crafted to outwork, outlast, and out-comfort anything else out there.

Built Chisos Strong

Most zipper boots are an afterthought—no steel shank, no pegs, no proper welt. Not here. The No. 7 carries all the hallmarks of Chisos construction and then pushes them further.

Heel Counter: Doubled to 8mm of vegetable-tanned leather for unmatched stability.
Toe Box: Fully reinforced with veg-tan leather for strength and structure.
Insoles & Shank: Thick leather insoles and a steel shank for all-day support.

We built these upgrades into the No. 7—and then rolled them out to every boot we make.

Extra Benefits

We went to YKK, makers of some of the toughest zippers on earth, and asked for their best. Then we added a leather cover to shield it from dirt, grit, and moisture. The result? A boot you can wear to the ranch without a second thought.

That zipper also gives you a snug, secure ankle fit you won’t get from a traditional cowboy boot. It’ll feel close-fitting at first, but once broken in, it’s a glove for your foot.

Comfort in the Details

The heel’s been lowered slightly while keeping the walking angle you expect from a cowboy boot. Combined with the new fit and construction, it makes the No. 7 the most comfortable Chisos boot yet.

Built the Right Way

We didn’t just make a zipper boot—we made a Chisos zipper boot. Thoughtful design, stubborn craftsmanship, and materials chosen to last. The No. 7 isn’t just another boot in the lineup. It’s a step forward for everything we build.
