Celebrating Five Years of Chisos: A Community Built on Boots and Passion

Last Saturday, we marked a major milestone at Chisos: five years of crafting cowboy boots that stand out in both comfort and heritage. The anniversary celebration was more than just a party; it was a testament to the vibrant community that has grown around Chisos—a reflection of our shared love for tradition, quality, and connection.

The Heart of Chisos: Community First

When Chisos began, the vision wasn’t just to make boots; it was to build a community. From the outset, founder Will Roman set out to create something rooted in authenticity and shared values. That ethos resonates in every pair of boots, every event, and every conversation we’ve had with y’all. Saturday night was proof of that vision coming to life: customers, friends, and fans gathered, not as strangers, but as part of a family united by Texas pride and a love for finely crafted footwear.

A Party to Remember

The Chisos HQ in South Austin was buzzing with excitement. The evening kicked off with live music that celebrated the rich Texan culture we hold so dear. From local artists strumming heartfelt tunes to attendees two-stepping under the Lone Star sky, the atmosphere was electric.

As the night progressed, conversations flowed as freely as the refreshments. Stories were swapped—of favorite hikes in Big Bend, boots that have seen miles of adventure, and the first time someone pulled on a pair of Chisos. For some, the night was a chance to revisit a familiar home base. For others, it was their first time stepping into the world of Chisos. Regardless, everyone left feeling like they were part of something bigger.

Craftsmanship and Care: The Chisos Philosophy

Every pair of boots at Chisos tells a story—crafted in partnership with artisans in Guanajuato, Mexico, where each stitch and lemonwood peg is placed with precision and care. As much as we celebrate milestones like our fifth anniversary, it’s these small, thoughtful details that define Chisos. Our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices has always been a cornerstone, ensuring that every boot is made with respect—for the materials, the makers, and the land.

Looking Back, Moving Forward

Reflecting on the past five years, it’s humbling to think about how far we’ve come. What started as an idea has grown into a community that extends beyond Texas, with people around the world embracing the Chisos spirit. But our work is far from done. We’re excited to continue creating boots that make you feel at home in your own skin while honoring the traditions that inspire us.

A Big Thank You

To everyone who came out on Saturday—or who has supported us over the years—thank you. Whether you’ve worn your Chisos boots to a ranch, a wedding, or just around town, you’re a part of this journey. Here’s to the next five years of comfort, craftsmanship, and community.

Stay tuned for more events, stories, and, of course, boots that are built to last. If you missed the party, don’t worry—there’s always something happening at Chisos HQ. Come by, say hi, and let’s keep the conversation going.

We owe a massive thank you to Nine Banded Whiskey, Goodnight Loving Vodka, Independence Brewing, Rambler Sparkling Water, and Mighty Fine Burgers for keeping everyone well fed and happy through the whole night.

We kept the music going as the afternoon turned into the twilight.

Paul Val Headlined The Entire Night

One of our favorites, Paul Val, finished the night with his headlining set.

I think it's fair to say we had a good time. Here's the team celebrating a successful party, 5 years of boots and the spirit of Texas.
