Easy on, easy off, hard to forget
Designed with a low profile and a sleek silhouette, the Chisos No. 7 brings a whole new ease to the cowboy boot experience.
But don’t let the zipper fool you: this boot’s built Chisos tough. The No. 7 holds its shape while breaking in with surprising comfort. The signature toe bug just the right touch of character, while the red stripe on the heel ties it back to the rest of the Chisos family.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
These boots are extremely nice. The leather has this sheen that makes them look premium and of high quality. Break in time is close to none. The red line in the heel is a touch of distinction that sets them apart from others. It’s all about the details!
Enuff said!
Overall the quality is excellent and the finish is unique. The problem is with the ankle shaft, too narrow. Not sure who they used to take the measurements for this part of the boots. Half an inch extra of volume would have made these boots perfect. These are designed for skinny ankles. I have a similar style of boots from Tecovas (also made in Mexico) and these zip up without any stretching and sweating. I kept the boots, hopefully they stretch. If not , I am out of $600.
This is my third pair of Chisos, and I really like the slim ankle on these ones. The 7's have a super elegant design, and they fit as though I had them custom made. Thank you for making such extraordinary boots!
My third pair of Chisos & these might be my favorite. Like every other pair they are extremely comfortable right out of the box. The whiskey finish is amazing, looks broken in after just a short time wearing them. The color is just like a nice glass of bourbon, whiskey is an apt name. They have a slight bit of shine to them which makes them ideal for any situation - not too casual & not too dressy.
The boots also feature features not found on most other boots like the leather around the zipper is rolled & stitched down.
If they come out with different #7's like rough out or exotics my wallet will be screaming - lol.
I have Chisos. My wife has Chisos. So when I received the email that the new No. 7 was available, it took me seconds to decide to order them. And I’m super glad I did! I own two other zips, so they weren’t my first. However, they, by far, are the best. Typical Chisos quality, but better because of the new construction improvements. These are sturdy, and the fit is awesome. So much more support than a regular boot due to the snug shaft. If you can only have one pair of Chisos, the No. 7 should be that pair. Now we need these in roughout! Buy these now.
