Cowhide

The strengths of the No. 2 lie in its details: the heritage leather hides scuffs and develops a handsome patina over time. The refined square toe is subtle and unique. And the stitching is a nod to the petroglyphs in Big Bend National Park.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos provides free shipping on exchanges within the contiguous United States within 90 days of purchase. Product costs are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

For all returns, items must be in like-new condition without scratches nor scuffs. We recommend trying on your boots on carpet to ensure proper fit.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

Our Best-Selling Boot

Meet the Chisos No. 2, the most popular Chisos boot ever designed. Durable and comfortable. Dress it up or down. Moving comfortably between the ranch and the city, the No. 2 is a true all-around boot.

Specifically tanned to complement the heritage nature of our leathers, each pair is hand-brushed to reveal its unique story. Natural variances in leather tone and texture ensure your boots stand apart.

And once you pull 'em on for the first time, there's no turning back.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.

Perfection!

I discovered Chisos while watching a Rose Anvil video where a pair was cut in half. The construction was impressive when they were compared to other brands on the channel. After getting a promotion at work, I decided to take the plunge and order a pair. They arrived on 10/29/2024 and I was excited to try them on for the first time.

I measure a 10EEE on a Brannock device and ordered a 10W. First impressions out of the box were positive. Finish was exactly as expected. They are absolutely beautiful and feel sturdy. First impressions on my feet were not positive. With the insoles in the boot, my instep was horribly constricted to the point of causing numbness and pain within about 30 minutes. Since the soles were scuffed already I decided to pull the insole out and try again with success. Over the course of several days, I worked up from no insole to a thin Dr Scholl's insole with success. After several more wears I switched back to the Chisos insole, it was snug but not painful and I was able to wear them most of the day without discomfort. A heavy application of leather conditioner helped soften them up even more along with putting pressure on the instep area (baseball and working it with my fingers from inside the boot).

Break in took some time and patience but I must say, these are now my favorite boots and I look forward to wearing them.

I have already recommended them to a couple of people in the market for great cowboy boots.

Great job Chisos team!

So far, so good!

They came in and felt broken in already! Very soft. I wore them all day the first day and didn’t have any pain normally associated with new boots. That tells me that they will only get better with age. They are definitely different from any other boot I have ever owned. No regrets at all and I am recommending them to my friends.

Extremely Comfortable

I ordered the same size as my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly. They are incredibly comfortable and look great! This is my first pair of cowboy boots and I can't imagine going to any other brand.

Boots look great...But My feet hurt

Ordered as the instructions stated too. Received them after about a week. tried them on and the they felt tight. Called Chisos and spoke to a gentleman and explained the situation. I was told they would break in as long as my toes aren't crowded and they aren't. Wore them for a day and they caused blisters, as well as visible marks on me feet, quite painful. I believe the clearance problem for me is where the decretive stitching is on the top of the toe box . This is my first pair of Cowboy boots, I never have had to break in a pair of work boots or shoes to this degree before. Hopefully they will give in before I do or this was an expensive mistake.

A little different....

It's that arch and insole. It makes them feel just a touch different than other brands of boots. But NOT in a bad way. They certainly feel more broken in straight out the box. For me - a little more arch high. But they are not actually so. I don't think. I got all day comfort straight out the box.

Looks - that square tip is not too aggressive like some boots. It's not a point either - but it's just in between and very acceptable.

Construction wise - beautifully made and well detailed and finished. The leathers all feel excellent. Premium boot.

Size wise - true to size. Don't worry about that insole. Just order your normal size for your normal fit. In my case 11.5D was good in Chisos as it is in Tecovas and Lucchese.

Packaging - HONESTLY - I didn't need all the fancy double cardboard box and metal ring set in the box end and the notes and the coozie. Sure it gives a nice "premium" box opening experience - but you are just going to have to recycle it all. On the other hand the cotton boot bags are good for storage if you are going to keep them for occasional use. But again - as these boots have joined my daily rotation - not REALLY needed.

Would buy again.

First Pair Of Boots Knocked It Out Of The Park

I have flat feet and have never worn boots like this before. Out of the box, they were comfortable enough to wear for a full day. They continue to fit and support my feet nicely. I was a little leery of dropping so much on a pair of boots but am very glad I pulled the trigger.
