Cowhide

The strengths of the No. 2 lie in its details: the heritage leather hides scuffs and develops a handsome patina over time. The refined square toe is subtle and unique. And the stitching is a nod to the petroglyphs in Big Bend National Park.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos provides free shipping on exchanges within the contiguous United States within 90 days of purchase. Product costs are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

For all returns, items must be in like-new condition without scratches nor scuffs. We recommend trying on your boots on carpet to ensure proper fit.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

Our Best-Selling Boot

Meet the Chisos No. 2, the most popular Chisos boot ever designed. Durable and comfortable. Dress it up or down. Moving comfortably between the ranch and the city, the No. 2 is a true all-around boot.

Specifically tanned to complement the heritage nature of our leathers, each pair is hand-brushed to reveal its unique story. Natural variances in leather tone and texture ensure your boots stand apart.

And once you pull 'em on for the first time, there's no turning back.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.

No. 2 Boot in Whiskey

I recently purchased the Number 2 boots in whiskey, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The fit is excellent, they’re extremely comfortable right out of the box, and the craftsmanship is top-notch. The whiskey color looks incredible in person—rich, classic, and versatile. Even the packaging was beautifully done, which made the unboxing experience feel special. These boots are absolutely worth the cost, and I’m already hoping they’ll release a matching whiskey belt soon. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend these boots to anyone considering them.

Worth It

My wife purchased these as a gift. I have a very high instep and large calves so shopping for boots is pretty hard. She got the size most of my boots are. The right foot was almost painfully tight. The left was magnificently comfortable. Since the left was as perfect as it was, I decided to spend some time working on them instead of swapping them for a larger size. I eventually swapped out the insoles for some Ariat's I had lying around and have spent some time breaking them in. They really came into their own after about three solid days wear. I work in an office so its not like I'm working them hard. I'm hoping to loosen that right boot up enough to get the Chisos insoles back in them because they were really much nicer than the ones I swapped in. If you have a overly large instep like me, you might want to jump up a half a size. I plan on doing that on my next pair. I'm already eyeing the roughouts for my next purchase.
They are my wife's favorite pair. She loves the way they look on me. The older leather has so much character and the color shifts in the light. So far, each day I wear them they are a bit snug going on, and after an hour they warm up to be more comfortable than they were the last day I wore them. I don't know what the ceiling is on that, but after 6 full day wears they are among my more comfortable boots and steady getting better. Just well worth it.

Great fit straight from box

Really enjoy these No. 2 boots, they fit perfectly right out of the box which can be difficult to find that nice of a fit right away. The comfort is great, the insoles are really nicely formed and seated softly. Looking forward to getting a pair in black when my size is back in stock.

Amazing boots

Absolutely love these boots! The craftsmanship is top-notch, with sturdy yet comfortable materials that feel built to last. They break in beautifully and only get better with wear. The fit is perfect, and the style is versatile enough to go from casual jeans to dressier outfits without missing a beat. Worth every penny!

Simply the best

This is my 2nd pair of Chisos #2s. My first being the brushed brown. The fit out of the box is outstanding they feel like I been wearing them all along, hardly no break-in. And the quality. Just the best. I used to wear a different make of boot and I have several pair of those, I just don’t want to wear them anymore. Chisos for me are the best you can get. And the service and delivery has been outstanding. So thank you everyone at Chisos for creating a boot with passion for your craft. Outstanding.

10 Stars If I Could—These Boots Changed the Game

If I could give Chisos 10 stars, I would!
From the moment I walked into Chisos’ headquarters, the experience was top-notch. Gammon was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire buying process enjoyable. He took the time to help me find the perfect pair, and I left feeling like I’d just made a great investment, not just a purchase.
I ended up going with the brushed brown Chisos No. 2s, and let me tell you—they're incredible. For full disclosure, they do run just a little narrow. I normally wear a 10.5 D, but with these I needed a 10.5 EE. Once I had the right size, they fit like a glove. I was expecting a break-in period, but it took less than an afternoon before they felt like I’d been wearing them for years. That’s how comfortable they are.
Yes, Chisos boots are a little on the pricey side, but don’t let that scare you off—they’re worth every single penny. The craftsmanship is impeccable, the comfort is unbeatable, and the style speaks for itself. I get compliments all the time from both guys and girls about how sharp they look, and every time I slip them on, I’m reminded why I bought them.
I know you don’t know me from Adam, but take it from a guy who’s worn boots his whole life—these are the real deal. You won’t regret it.
