Cowhide

The strengths of the No. 2 lie in its details: the heritage leather hides scuffs and develops a handsome patina over time. The refined square toe is subtle and unique. And the stitching is a nod to the petroglyphs in Big Bend National Park.

Chisos heritage cowhides boast superior durability to juvenile leathers, and our proprietary process renders them uniquely soft. Natural variation occurs by design. Handcrafted in Mexico.

Chisos provides free shipping on exchanges within the contiguous United States within 90 days of purchase. Product costs are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

For all returns, items must be in like-new condition without scratches nor scuffs. We recommend trying on your boots on carpet to ensure proper fit.

Chisos boots fit true to size according to US shoe standards. Simply order the size that you wear most often.

Generally boots will match the same size you wear in other leather footwear, or a half size smaller than your athletic shoes. If you normally waiver between two sizes, select the smaller size.

The conversion between men's and ladies' is approximately 1.5-2 size increments. For example, a Men's 7 D is a Ladies' 8.5 or 9.

The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture.

When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.

Our Best-Selling Boot

Meet the Chisos No. 2, the most popular Chisos boot ever designed. Durable and comfortable. Dress it up or down. Moving comfortably between the ranch and the city, the No. 2 is a true all-around boot.

Specifically tanned to complement the heritage nature of our leathers, each pair is hand-brushed to reveal its unique story. Natural variances in leather tone and texture ensure your boots stand apart.

And once you pull 'em on for the first time, there's no turning back.

Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.

To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.

N2 Black!

Guys, I'm totally amazed, the boots fit like they were tailor-made for me and are super comfortable too. Worn for 20 hours on the first day and still comfortable... incredibly good! By the way, here in Germany nobody walks around with Chnisos, I'm constantly asked about the boot, just WOOOW, I`m in love! Greetings from Frankfurt/Germany. Rob

Chisos No.2

This is my first pair of Chisos and, so far, I like the quality. They fit just like the description says, a firm handshake. They are a little harder to break in than the normal boots I wear, but I think it will be worth it. Damn... they look good. Hopefully they break in well for me so I can purchase more pairs down the road.

Roughout

I’ve had my boots for a little bit over a month. I waited to send my review in because I wanted to make sure I gave these a real review instead of just saying how beautiful they are well, they are beautiful. I love the what I assume is a French toe and not a big fat square toe. And I love the rough out, it reminds me of my dad‘s first boots, and reminds me of cowboy boots. The first word I would use to describe these is …. rugged. And by that I mean the feel when they’re on your feet, you can just tell that they are well made and will last for a long time as I said above comfort and looks great. I was excited to buy some Chisos, as I had had my eye on them for a couple of years. I love Will’s story, and I was not disappointed. Keep on my friends.

Most comfortable footwear I have ever owned

I waited about six months after purchase to write this review so I could get a good sense of how the boots hold up. I'm an ICU doc with high arches and I'm on my feet all day. Walking, standing, occasionally walking quite fast. I work days, nights, weekends, sometimes 60 hours a week and 24 hours at at time. Finding shoes that can take abuse and not leave my feet hurting at the end of the shift has been difficult. The famous hospital clogs work but don't look great. These Chisos No. 2's in brushed brown are without a doubt the most comfortable footwear I have ever worn. They were comfortable right out of the box (just order your regular Brannock size!), and have become even more comfortable over time. I put rubber sole savers on the bottom and will definitely resole them when the time comes. My feet are fine at the end of the day/night, and I even wear them in my free time. They also can stand up to being hit with rolling beds, 300 pound x ray machines and the occasional spray of blood. Patients notice and comment on them all the time. Would highly recommend to anyone on their feet a lot, or just for the good looks.

Very very good for the price point. Wide foot friendly too!

I’ve been eying Chiso’s for a while before I pulled the trigger. I had done plenty of research on their construction. I don’t think there’s another western boot that can compete at this price point. I was hesitant on getting a square toe and how they would look overall on me.

I have got several compliments on them so far. I clock in at 12.5E on the brannock. I purchased the 12EE and it turned out perfect with my Darn Tough over-the-calf socks. These are the best fitting pull-on boots outside my Redwing 1155’s

Hopefully more styles are offered in wide eventually. I’d be in trouble if the ostrich boots had EE options right now

They look incredible

My Chisos look incredible and definitely turn heads but I was expecting them to be much more comfortable based on the reviews alone. I am hoping that they’re going to break in after a few more weeks.

Perfection

I spent 2 years wanting a pair of #2's. I have a family, kids, etc and couldn't in good conscious just buy them outright. So after a year of wanting the boots, and talking myself out of spending that much money on myself, I decided to start saving up. I started saving up spare cash, from change, to birthday money, gift cards, whatever. About a month ago I was finally able to order the boots.

They arrived, the packaging and entire experience was perfect. The boots fit snug, and have since worn in to a perfect fit. They still smell amazing.

Absolutely live you guys at Chisos, don't ever change how you're doing things, it's absolute perfection!

THANK YOU CHISOS!

Confused fitting

While the whole construction of the boot is very nice there are a few problems I ran into. In the Fitting guide card that came it wasn’t a true fit. When putting on the boot it just slides right in with no “thump” so it considered big? But the part going across my foot feels a little tight and does hurt a little and still in the process of breaking it in and does feel slightly better. However my toes feel fine not really cramped or anything. So it’s a mixture of fitting big, small and just right. With that kind of fit I feel like this is not ok for the high price. I don’t know what size is the best for me if I ordered the size 8.5 D. Hopefully if I order a different style it’ll be better.

Don’t quite fit

Bought a pair of number 2 chisos after a lot of videos and comparing other brands boots. Ordered in my usual size for other boots. After thinking they fit right in the house I wore them outside. First day had quite a bit of tightness in the vamp on my left boot. Continued to wear them hoping they’d break in some more and be perfect. After two weeks the left boot still does not fit properly. I’ve been in contact with chisos and they are helpful but I can’t exchange them now that they’re worn. So I’m kind of stuck with $500 boots that don’t fit and I really wanted to like them.
