This review is a long time coming. I’ve had these boots a while now and they are great boots very comfortable. I am unable to wear them right now because it’s winter here in Alberta Canada we have lots of snow and it’s really cold these aren’t the best boots to be wearing in this weather. I was able to wear them for a bit before the weather changed. They aren’t fully broke in yet it will still take a bit to reach that point but so far I am very happy with the purchase. Yes they are a very expensive pair of boots but I am a person who believes you get what you pay for. I do find them very tight around the upper front part of my foot and have been wearing thicker socks to try and stretch them out. All in all these are a great looking pair of boots and you won’t be disappointed with your purchase.
I wanted a pair of cowboy boots,so I started searching the internet for reviews and came across chisos and the more videos and reviews that I saw I knew that these were the boots that I wanted to buy.
Me and my wife were in Texas the week after thanksgiving and I made a trip to Austin and I’m glad that I did these boots are super nice and comfortable.
The guy who helped me was super nice,I tried on several pair and went with the number 2 in brown
I wear a size 12 but I had to go with a 12.5 EE and they fit great.
I will definitely be buying them again
Thanks to everyone at chisos, from the handwritten letter to the drink koozy and the stickers
Always wanted a pair of cowboy boots and finally made the decision to buy a pair. Naturally went to YouTube to watch reviews. I didn’t want to get a cheap pair and short myself on my first experience. Nor was I going to buy an expensive pair. I watched a few channels that had reviews but Rose Anvil videos led me to my final decision.
He provided in-depth reviews and most importantly cut up a pair from each of the major brands out there. The construction and how well they were made compared to the other brands is what really set Chisos apart.
Spending $600 seems pretty steep not knowing if you will like them but you get what you pay for and I’d rather spend the extra bit to know I didn’t short myself and I paid for quality.
Delivery: They arrived within a week and they were packed very well. Each boot was in a quality type cloth bag. Not sure if this is the norm in the industry but it was very high quality.
Fit: They fit exactly as described as to how cowboy boots should fit per YouTube videos described, very accurate. The first day they were obviously not broken in and was actually uncomfortable in the top of my foot. For the next week it was sore on the top of my foot some but then I put a shirt inside over night to stretch out the leather some. Being an amateur leather worker, I know it takes time for leather to break in. And as expected, as I’ve owned them over a month now they are breaking in great and the leather is breaking in more and more. It took up to two weeks at most before I really started looking forward to wearing them. I managed my expectations in the beginning and knew it wouldn’t happen overnight because they were leather. They feel and fit better every day and continue to look forward to them getting more comfortable each day.
Construction: I am not a cowboy boots expert by any means but I know and can feel quality when it’s in my hands. It looks and feels like quality that you know will stand the test of time. They used quality materials and I am more than satisfied. I just know these will easily last 20 years with care.
I did take them to a cobbler to have sole protectors put on the front. Given it was a leather bottom, I have no experience how long a leather sole lasts. I figured I’d protect my investment and protect the bottom, just my personal preference.
Overall: Do I regret my purchase? Absolutely not and I would purchase them again in a heartbeat. For the first time buyer, I recommend these over the other major brands out there even though they are just a little more. But you are getting quality and is worth the investment. Another factor was they were a smaller business and I like to support those companies. In a few years I will probably buy a higher end exotic pair.
Keep doing what you are doing Chisos, providing quality at a good price point.
Amazing out of box. Worth every penny
I have the Chisos #2’s in brown and black and they complete any outfit! They took a little longer to break in than I expected. Felt tightness on the vamp of the left boot but once I broke them in and stretched them it’s all good. I wear them every day to the office with blue jeans and if you add a blazer to your look, you go from casual to business in an instant. These boots really are nice and the compliments never stop.
For the past 6 months I've been buying and then returning different boots from all different companies to find one that felt right. Including some other exceptional brands, I still sent them back for a refund. But Chisos not only felt exactly right, their customer service is unparalleled. So willing to work with me to get me the boots right for me. There's care in every detail. Even calling me back to make sure I was satisfied with my customer experience. Y'all this company will inevitably keep getting bigger as their quality continues to deliver, but please please please don't lose that customer service that sets you apart.
My first pair of Chisos and I’m obsessed. These boots were comfortable from the first step. I find myself reaching for these in the morning and end up leaving them on until bed time. Literally all day comfortable.
My Chisos are, indeed, the most comfortable pair of cowboy boots I have. They're not quite as comfortable as my sneakers or work shoes, but for cowboy boots, they have all my others beat.
The only slight flaw I've found, in my pair of boots anyway, is the stitching inside the pull straps chafes against my leg, causing irritation. I felt along there, and noticed some hard pieces of thread. It seems the thread was melted in some areas, which caused some hard spots. I removed the offending spots, and, hopefully, the problem won't reoccurr.
I loved my brushed brown #2s so much, I bought a pair in magic black. Still the most comfortable, best-looking boots I’ve ever owned. My friends ask about them, and I happy to spread the good word. You’ve got a customer for life.

Our Best-Selling Boot
Meet the Chisos No. 2, the most popular Chisos boot ever designed. Durable and comfortable. Dress it up or down. Moving comfortably between the ranch and the city, the No. 2 is a true all-around boot.
Specifically tanned to complement the heritage nature of our leathers, each pair is hand-brushed to reveal its unique story. Natural variances in leather tone and texture ensure your boots stand apart.
And once you pull 'em on for the first time, there's no turning back.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
