I’ve been wearing boots for 51 years and these are as quality as any pair I’ve ever had. The attention to detail is incredible, and the customer service has been touch notch. I can’t recommend Chisos boots highly enough, they are just fantastic.
After intensive research for my next western boot, I landed on Chisos. And boy, did it not disappoint! Aside from all the qualities in the craftmanship, and the various video reviews, there is this unique feeling in owning a pair of Chisos.
For those that value curated items, this is a must have. Not only is the style and design timeless, but the comfort is exceptional. There was no holding back in the creation and development of these boots. Time and time, I find myself grabbing the No.5 rough outs as my go-to footwear - whether it be work or play. I know that this will be a heritage boot and it's no surprise that Chisos owners turn into product evangelists.
For those that are on the fence about investing in these boots, I strongly suggest watching all the available video reviews to get a quantitative view. One can also read about qualitative insights online and in social media. Then pick your pair and enjoy! By the way, customer service is also exceptional!
I'm eagerly anticipating new inventory so I can invest in the other styles. This will be the only brand of western boots I'll be buying from now on.
I am beyond impressed with the quality of these boots. They have an amazing, classic style that really throws it back to how things used to be.
I’ve worn several brands of cowboy boots for as long as I can remember, and Chisos can stand toe to toe with any of them. They are extremely comfortable and fit me perfectly. As a Union Electrician, I try to purchase USA made products at every chance, and I am proud to add this pair of Chisos boots to my collection.
Looking forward to my next pair!
The craftsmanship, the design, that cushion in the heel and, man, the aroma of the leather! Good Lawd… Well done! I haven’t taken them off. I have such admiration for anything made with meticulous care and intention. And these babies qualify. I 👀 all the hard work you put in. Can’t wait for my next pair. Might have to come by and say hello next time I’m in Austin. In the meantime, sending gratitude from the Left Coast.
The Chisos No. 5 boot is an exceptional blend of heritage craftsmanship, rugged durability, and all-day comfort. The high-quality roughout leather feels broken-in and ready to go from the moment I put them on. I swapped the cushioned insole for a flat leather insole, allowing for more room across my instep. The snip toe shape adds just the right amount of Western flair without being too flashy, and the detailed steer-head embroidery is a subtle nod to Texas roots. Whether you're wearing them on the ranch, at the office, or in town, they balance utility and style perfectly.
The attention to detail and construction quality set Chisos No. 5 apart. The sole, steel shank, and leather outsole reflect a boot built to last for years, not just seasons. The roughout leather holds up beautifully to daily wear. It develops character with age, while still requiring minimal maintenance. They're not just stylish cowboy boots but comfortable, dependable, and thoughtfully designed for real-life use.
After a few wears, they feel like they've been custom-made for my foot. They're the best boots I've ever owned!
I usually wear 10.5 but sized up to 11 at the suggestion of your store staff. The instore experience & vibe is worth checking out if you are in Austin. The boots are very comfortable out of the box and basically require no break in time . Definitely more comfortable than my Luccheses. They also look great. Win/win . Thanks Chisos! You have a new fan!
Hi y’all ! Got my chisos no 5 in brushed brown. Look good. Feel great. Perfect fit size 10d (uk 8). What a wonderful feeling stepping out in these. Best footwear ever.
Have the no. 5 rough outs and they are the best fitting pair of boots I own and I have Tony Lama, Dan Post and four pairs of Tecova’s. Sorry you don’t offer a more diverse selection in the no. 5.
Outstanding quality and comfort. I ran a half size bigger on this and they were perfect for my wide-ish feet. Super comfortable especially after a few wears. Highly recommend. I know a few mates who are ordering a pair after seeing mine.
This is my 2nd pair of Chisos … straight out of the box , perfect fit .. wore them at work all day 14 hrs , no discomfort.
Seriously a good well made boot 🙏

A Little Rock 'n Roll
Some call it dressy, some say it's easygoing. But nobody can deny that the snip toe of the Chisos No. 5 makes an impression.
Combined with the steer head embroidery, the No. 5 goes where it wants. Get it dirty and don't worry about maintenance—the patina adds to the allure.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
