Easy on, easy off, hard to forget
Designed with a low profile and a sleek silhouette, the Chisos No. 7 brings a whole new ease to the cowboy boot experience.
But don’t let the zipper fool you: this boot’s built Chisos tough. The No. 7 holds its shape while breaking in with surprising comfort. The signature toe bug just the right touch of character, while the red stripe on the heel ties it back to the rest of the Chisos family.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
After I complained to Chisos that all their whiskey-colored leather boots were sold out right now during the summer, I received the reply that Chisos is a small company that had to calculate quantities very precisely and that it is more important for the company to make good shoes than to ensure full stock levels.
Do the newly received No. 7 products live up to these quality standards?
And I must say, that after a first close visual inspection, everything is manufactured exactly as I expected for this specification. Chapeau!!!!
For those ordering from afar and concerned about shoe size, I have a tip. Get yourself the Brannock device.
It's a device for measuring foot size and can be found cheaply used online. Chisos adheres to these measurements for its sizing!
Greetings to all shoe lovers!
So I had given up even the thought of boots years ago with severe neuropathy and planter facitis boots were just not in the cards for me.
I had thought about custom boots but just couldn't bring myself to afford them if I just was going to have to give them up to the goodwill..
Then I found Chisos thought I would give them a go as they addressed my issues in the website.
Boy am I glad I did! Most comfortable boots ever, no foot pain (miracle) and they were the right price. So glad I made this choice I live in them now and plan on a second pair soon. I am even giving them as gifts I am so happy.
Plus, they look great, and come in the greatest box. Easy to take care of mine are turnouts and I thought suede but not really much hardier and they are developing a patina that gives them character.
Much appreciated and very grateful for Chisos the company and the boots.
Without any hint of overstatement, these are the best boots money can buy.
I wore them to work the day after I bought them, and then the next four consecutive days in a row. My goal was to break them in, and make them more comfortable, but that was almost unnecessary. They worked right off the bat.
Great boots. High quality build and a seriously slick look. Plenty of compliments just after a few days. Still breaking them in but already feeling comfortable and I know they’ll just get better.
Build construction is amazing! Never owned such sturdy, well-crafted boots. Style is great as well, easy to dress up or down. Huge fan of the leather quality, both dying and thickness. However, comfort is clearly lagging my Lucchese's - Comfort is a very subjective thing and a result of both foot shape and last... Anyway, worth mentioning here as this wasn't expected.
Again, great boots that I am sure will last a lifetime!
I have the #7 Roughout and the Roughout Belt.
Also got the magic black wallet. I had originally ordered the #7 in Brushed Brown, when they arrived I noticed the heels were 2 different sizes and the right boot was larger then the left. They had No issues exchanging them however they were out of the Brushed Brown so I got the Roughout color way. The stitches around the right boot near the arch were not straight to the point that it looked from the side view that it wasn’t stitched completely down. Again they had No issues exchanging for a different pair. When the (new) pair arrived I saw they were the same pair I sent in to exchange. At this point I just kept them hoping that there won’t be any issues with a the resole when it comes time.
The belt looks great but when you look at the inside of the belt you can see that the inner liner wasn’t cut accurately so it’s not stitched down completely at the tip. Seems to be well attached however for this price point I would expect better. I did keep the belt. I also got the wallet which was perfect. All in all they do make quality products, but quality control needs some improvement. I am hopeful they work out the quality control issues because they do make high end products that will last a long time. I plan on getting another pair of #7 in the future, hopefully with out any defects this time.
Haven't taken them off yet. Just as awesome as the boots was the customer service. I was blowing through town on a very tight window. My size was in stock at the warehouse. So Dimitri personally delivered them to the shop so I could leave with a new pair of Chisos. Talk about going above and beyond for your customers!!!
First of all, I can wear these with any pants and they still look great. Jeans, chinos, dressier pants they just work. That versatility alone made a big difference for me.
I work in real estate, so I’m not out here wearing workwear or heavy-duty pants. One thing I really appreciated is that I didn’t have to go out and buy boot cut jeans just to make these work. They fit naturally with what I already had in my closet, which made the transition easy.
I’ve actually started wearing them more often for work because I have way more options now when it comes to putting outfits together. They make me look sharper and more presentable when I’m with clients, but I can also step into properties, get them a bit dirty, and not worry about it.
I’ve also gotten a lot of compliments on them people definitely notice.
At first, I thought this was just a boot with a shorter shaft, but it’s more than that. The design, the fit, and especially the zipper make them way more practical without losing that clean, classic look.
I even wore them out in the rain, walking through wet concrete, and they held up great no slipping, no second guessing my decision to wear them that day.
Overall, these turned into a go-to way faster than I expected definitely the most versatile boot I own.
These are the boots so far! I have the No 1 and the No 6. The No 7 fit so well for my somewhat skinny legs. BIG FAN. Will definitely buy another pair in the future.
