My father grew up on a farm during an era when tales of the Great American West dominated the silver screen. For him, cowboy boots weren't just a fashion statement; they were a part of everyday life. There were the boots that worked on the farm, boots that went out on Saturday night, and boots for church the next morning.
When my father passed, he left me an impressive collection of cowboy boots. The collection ranged from modern boots to those dating back to the 1970s from several major makers. I wear the same size boots as my father did, so I began wearing them on occasion; since then, I have become a bit of a connoisseur, perhaps even what you would call a "boot fanatic."
A few weeks ago, I bought my first pair of Chisos. To say I have been impressed so far would be an understatement. They meet or exceed the build quality of any other boots I own, regardless of price point. These Chisos are built like tanks while still maintaining a refined appearance. Inside and out, they hold their own against boots that cost three times as much. They are the kind of boots that you could leave to your son or daughter one day.
Are they comfortable? If I have any serious walking to do that day, I'm wearing the Chisos.
I will soon be adding another pair of Chisos to my collection.
Hello Chisos team, I was admittedly a little trepidatious ordering online…from Ontario, Canada. Not a big deal in most situations but big money without a touch and try on. Love the story, the business model, the look…the intention. Was more sold with the commitment upon tariffs being imposed. So, I ordered. I love the boots. Fit, feel, quality are amazing…the personalized note from Kris was also a valued touch. Keep doing what you’re doing!
First pair, Chisis #2 right out of the box the most comfortable footwear I have, not just boots. Crazy thing is with each wear they get even more comfortable. A believer and customer for life.
I can’t remember a time when boots fit this good right out of the box. I’m sure they’ll fit even better after the break-in period. The workmanship on the boots is fantastic. I wish the boots had a rubber type sole as walking on dry grass in the pastures, a lot of slipping occurs. I’ll probably have a set of shoe savers applied. The customer service is wonderful as it took several tries to get the right fit for me. Thank you for a great boot and customer service!
My favorite pair of boots. The cushion is superior to others
Right out of the box they felt like gloves on my feet. The break in period was not that long. I wear them everyday without a single issue. I look forward to my next pair, number ones in black.
These boots are so well made, and they just keep getting better with time. On top of that, the people at Chisos are top notch. They're absolutely living their motto and doing things right.
Haven’t had a pair of cowboy boots for more than 10 years, took a chance on Chisos and I’m extremely impressed. Their customer service support with sizing was really helpful and I got the right fit on the first try.
Really sharp boots all around, no real break in to speak of and comfortable enough to wear all day. Highly recommend Chisos for a well made, incredibly comfortable pair of boots.
After a lot of research, I decided to take the chance of buying an expensive pair of boots, online, and without being able to personally try them on. I was very surprised at the level of quality, prompt service, and response in ordering these boots online. The only issue that came up is that you had a limited inventory of sizes. I ordered a pair that turned out to be somewhat tight across the top of the shoes. After speaking to Garret on the phone I returned them for one half size larger in a different color and style due to availability. The online return process was easy, quick and well communicated. The new pair fits very well and looks great. (#2, in brushed brown, 12EE ). I have received many compliments on these boots.
All in all, you are running this new company very well, your marketing and website are outstanding, communication is excellent....inventory...Eh. I understand that Leon, Mexico is the undisputed capital of the boot making world, but, I would love to see your manufacturing moved to the U.S. . Overall, you have done a fantastic job of starting a small company, continue what you are doing and I think you are going to be surprised at your own success.
Just love the boot and the toe shape excellent quality, I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 in Lucchese boots went with size 11 in chisos boots and fit perfect.

Our Best-Selling Boot
Meet the Chisos No. 2, the most popular Chisos boot ever designed. Durable and comfortable. Dress it up or down. Moving comfortably between the ranch and the city, the No. 2 is a true all-around boot.
Specifically tanned to complement the heritage nature of our leathers, each pair is hand-brushed to reveal its unique story. Natural variances in leather tone and texture ensure your boots stand apart.
And once you pull 'em on for the first time, there's no turning back.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
