Easy on, easy off, hard to forget
Designed with a low profile and a sleek silhouette, the Chisos No. 7 brings a whole new ease to the cowboy boot experience.
But don’t let the zipper fool you: this boot’s built Chisos tough. The No. 7 holds its shape while breaking in with surprising comfort. The signature toe bug just the right touch of character, while the red stripe on the heel ties it back to the rest of the Chisos family.
Your Chisos boots will last decades with appropriate attention. The vamp (leather surrounding the foot) and leather shaft require only minimal care. Condition this leather about once every three months. Store in a cool, dry location and take a day off between heavy uses to allow the insides to properly dry.
The leather soles of your boots are designed to wear out and be replaced, much like the brakes on your pickup truck. Your mileage will vary depending on conditions of use, your weight, and your walking style. Avoid repeated exposure to water and excess moisture. When needed, a cobbler can perform a full resole and heel replacement.
To extend the life of new soles, have a cobbler apply a rubber sole saver upon receipt. No matter what, physics is going to win against leather soles and stitching. To slow the process, a cobbler can add some rubber to mitigate.
Well, what can I say? The #7 is my second pair of boots from Chisos, and I couldn’t be happier!
The quality and comfort offered by these boots are second to none. I had a great experience with Chisos with my first purchase, so I was confident I wouldn’t be wasting my hard-earned money on a second pair.
And I was right.
Thanks to a very (and I mean VERY) responsive team, I contacted them again, and Gannon (big shoutout to him!) was extremely helpful (again). He informed me that there was one last pair in my specific size and that he could place the order if I wanted to.
Fast forward a few days, and the boots were at my door! I regularly get compliments on them, and because the shaft is narrower on the #7, I can wear slimmer jeans, which is great!
For anyone on the fence because they’re not cheap: just buy the boots. They are worth every penny and more.
Love these boots great fit great look !! Ty😊
Excellent quality boots! Had to swap out my original order for a .5 size larger and customer support was extremely responsive and quick
These are my first pair of Chisos and they will definitely not be my last. I was looking for a nice pair of boots for my wedding that were not too flashy. This is the most that i have spent on boots and i feel that they are WELL worth the price. i had heard of Chisos through Rose Anvil YT, and after watching their review/ dissection of the 7's, i figured i would give these a try and they did not disappoint. i would 100% would buy these again.
the good:
- fit like a glove...really...once they are broken in, it's like putting on a pair of heavy socks.
- short break-in period. after ~10 hrs of around the house wearing, they were already taking shape. i have a wicked corn on my pinky toe and the leather was already stretching around it with no pain after about a week of wearing. i wore these at my wedding after about 15hrs of around the house wearing...no issues at all.
- build quality is all they claim it to be. i feel like these boots will actually last a lifetime.
- versatile - i wore these with a 3 piece suit at my wedding and then wore them out to a casual dinner the following week.
- narrow shaft - it's nice to be able to wear western boots with slim fit and straight leg pants.
- customer service - they were super helpful with guiding me to finding the right size and getting them shipped and delivered on short notice. i felt like i was buying boots from my local mom and pop shoe store.
- patina - about a month of wearing and the leather looks unique with different shades of brown showing through - not sure how else to describe it.
- solid zipper - smooth zip, no snagging, properly aligned... i feel like it could zip through a steak. further, there is no rubbing/chaffing on your ankle. even standing on awkward slope angles, bending, dancing, running from in-laws, etc. you NEVER feel the zipper inside the boot...even with thin socks.
the bad:
- no wide width. i wear a 9EE, the Chisos team had me get 9's and 9.5's. the 9.5's ended up being the better size. the boots felt a little long until they were broken in. i don't even notice this now that they are broken in. but i do wish they were available in wide width.
- one of the boots has a small hard spot/ pressure point under the decorative toe stitching. it has definitely worn down the more i wear them. i am sure it will not be noticeable over time. also, i am assuming this is a one-off issue/ part of being a hand made boot. it would NOT stop me from buying the boots again.
Great looking, well made boot. Definitely the most comfortable cowboy boot I’ve ever owned.
First pair of Chisos and they do not disappoint.
The zippered ankle cuff is small enough to fit under tailored suit pants.
Impeccable quality and presentation, especially love the koozie.
These boots are extremely nice. The leather has this sheen that makes them look premium and of high quality. Break in time is close to none. The red line in the heel is a touch of distinction that sets them apart from others. It’s all about the details!
Enuff said!
Overall the quality is excellent and the finish is unique. The problem is with the ankle shaft, too narrow. Not sure who they used to take the measurements for this part of the boots. Half an inch extra of volume would have made these boots perfect. These are designed for skinny ankles. I have a similar style of boots from Tecovas (also made in Mexico) and these zip up without any stretching and sweating. I kept the boots, hopefully they stretch. If not , I am out of $600.
This is my third pair of Chisos, and I really like the slim ankle on these ones. The 7's have a super elegant design, and they fit as though I had them custom made. Thank you for making such extraordinary boots!
